Christmas Eve Dinner

Every year since we got married, Kathleen and I have spent Christmas Eve at home making a special dinner. The first year was Cornish game hens, then a whole roasted turkey, and this year we made rack of lamb.

It was awesome. This qualifies as the most expensive meal I’ve ever prepared at home, but was totally worth it.

Happy New Year!

I may have said this before… but this year, I am going to start using this thing more.

We spent NYE this year at home with our friend James, visiting from Edinburgh, and his girlfriend Alex from England.

Stayed up waaay too late catching up and just having good ‘ol James times. Then went to our traditional new years day lunch at Cafe Bombay.

Had a great 11 days off, but it’s over and I’m back at work.

Hector, from Pura Vida and Top Chef, has started setting up a burrito stand under a tent in the lot across from Pura Vida on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Kathleen and I finally made it by for a try on Sunday. Yum…

Sondre Lerche at The Earl

A while back, we went to dinner at Woodfire Grill, before going to see Sondre Lerche at the Earl. Kathleen had gotten reservations back in December for me for Christmas, and this was the earliest date that was available! Also, this was the show that we both bought each other tickets to for Christmas.
