Margot & the Nuclear So & So’s with the Audrye Sessions

August 20th, 2008 | 02:01

Just got back from the Margot & the Nuclear So & So’s show at the Drunken Unicorn… and I’m going to go ahead and say this was my favorite show so far this year… There were 8 members on stage but they were so tight you wouldn’t have known it.

Audrye Sessions opened for them, and were also very good. I felt really bad because I only had $5 in cash on me and their album was $10. We talked to the girl who played bass for them and also made all their merch (bags and wallets and what not, which was all really great). She gave us stickers and buttons and stuff… So go check them out here

Yuto Miyazawa

This kid was on Conan O’brian last night playing some Eric Clapton songs… and it wasn’t on Guitar Hero…

Yuto Miyazawa

He was freakin incredible. And he’s only 8!

Why oh why couldn’t my parents have put a guitar in my hands when I was 3?

Here he is on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qizRvpYHmrw&feature=related

Film School and British Sea Power

I’m really late on posting about this because I just got around to taking the pictures off my phone… And they’re pretty bad quality, so I probably shouldn’t even have bothered.

We went to see them at The Earl on Monday night. I didn’t know much of either bands stuff before we went, but they were both pretty good.

Spoon and The Walkmen

On Monday we were suprised with free tickets to the Spoon/Walkmen show that had been sold out at least since we tried to buy them almost 2 months ago.

Spoon

Two bands I really like. It was great.

Also, it was the first show I’d been to at Center Stage, which I really liked.

Game Night

April 5th, 2008 | 15:58

We went to Liz and Matthew’s house last night for game night. We played Catch Phrase, and there were about 20 people there, so it was quite ridiculous, and very very fun.

We got to see Brian and Leah, Jessica and Matt, Kimberly, the guys from Death on Two Wheels, the girls from the Bridges and some other great people who I don’t really know too well.
